This may sound odd to most of you but, I'm looking foward to weekend cruisin. 60-80 degree winter days. Don't have a/c in the Mav. so it's the best time to ride without sweating your tail off.
But I do have a list of things I want to do during the summer when it's too hot to cruise.

Replace front and install rear sway bars

Change 8" rear gears to 3.55?

    Install factory A/C

    Install white face gauges

    Change bulbs in gauges

Oh yeah, I forgot, this is the Drag Racing Forum. My goal is to go faster.

First I have to get the new engine I`m building along with the new tranny into my wifes Fairmont . THEN I`ll work on my Maverick !

    1. Swap front coil springs for a set of 69.5 6 cyl springs (one half coil cut off)

    2. Install My Southside lift bars !

    3. Install an aluminum firewall behind the rear seat (per NHRA rules)

    4. Search for,Find, and purchase a car trailer :)

    5. Buy a helmet.

Now ...can anyone guess what I might be planning to do with my car next spring??

I'm going to try and concentrate on the body-work this winter, and if I have time for anything else, then so be it. Here's my plans for the body. Preston
    Body-
    Front Chin Spoiler
    Rear Grabber Spoiler
    Cowl hood (have)
    New passenger door
    Torino/Ranchero sport mirrors
    Remove maverick emblems from fenders
    Remove LDO trim
    Weld trim-holes shut
    Delete any unnecessary chrome pieces
Notch rear Valence for exhaust (?)
    Sand/Primer
    Paint (?)
    Aftermarket tube-type grill
    Suspension-
    Sub-frame connectors
New 4 leaf rear Leaf springs (have)
    Front Disc brake conversion (have)

I have a long list, but I guess I got enough here for the winter, and the rest of my life for the rest huh? I'm actually shooting for 1 1/2 to 2 years for the rest of the project. We'll see! Preston:smash: :smash:

Jerry,, real goals,,, and a realists. I hope we all are round here too. I find that at 47 I am realizing that I may have more projects than I have time to finish. But from what I have seen, the guys with the most projects on the horizon ( the ones that actually work to complete them) live the longest, and a big scoop of a whole lot of luck. That health thing looms out there for us. A line from my favorite movie " Youth is wasted on the young"
