This may sound odd to most of you but, I'm looking foward to weekend cruisin. 60-80 degree winter days. Don't have a/c in the Mav. so it's the best time to ride without sweating your tail off. But I do have a list of things I want to do during the summer when it's too hot to cruise. Replace front and install rear sway bars Change 8" rear gears to 3.55? Install factory A/C Install white face gauges Change bulbs in gauges Oh yeah, I forgot, this is the Drag Racing Forum. My goal is to go faster.

duh, thanks corbin. i also was planning on removing a hubcap to look before i bought any parts. what year did they change to 5 lug rear ends?
1. Finish park brake cable modification for rear disc brake mod 2. Paint inside of trunk 3. Repaint and install used , but good, lower dash 4. Replace rear center spoiler, repaint decklid., I screwed up the pinstripe the first time, lol 5. Repaint hood 6. Repaint panel that goes above the package tray 7. Repaint tailight panel, I scratched it somehow Above is for Stallion Below is for 71 project 1. Build rotisserie 2. Strip 71 to a rolling shell 3. Get a start on the body Then, I have been working on my 1960 Pontiac,, also, the DARE car is coming here this month for some paint touchup. It will be spring before you know it!! Dan
First I have to get the new engine I`m building along with the new tranny into my wifes Fairmont . THEN I`ll work on my Maverick ! 1. Swap front coil springs for a set of 69.5 6 cyl springs (one half coil cut off) 2. Install My Southside lift bars ! 3. Install an aluminum firewall behind the rear seat (per NHRA rules) 4. Search for,Find, and purchase a car trailer 5. Buy a helmet. Now ...can anyone guess what I might be planning to do with my car next spring??
I'm going to try and concentrate on the body-work this winter, and if I have time for anything else, then so be it. Here's my plans for the body. Preston Body- Front Chin Spoiler Rear Grabber Spoiler Cowl hood (have) New passenger door Torino/Ranchero sport mirrors Remove maverick emblems from fenders Remove LDO trim Weld trim-holes shut Delete any unnecessary chrome pieces Notch rear Valence for exhaust (?) Sand/Primer Paint (?) Aftermarket tube-type grill Suspension- Sub-frame connectors New 4 leaf rear Leaf springs (have) Front Disc brake conversion (have) I have a long list, but I guess I got enough here for the winter, and the rest of my life for the rest huh? I'm actually shooting for 1 1/2 to 2 years for the rest of the project. We'll see! Preston
Jerry,, real goals,,, and a realists. I hope we all are round here too. I find that at 47 I am realizing that I may have more projects than I have time to finish. But from what I have seen, the guys with the most projects on the horizon ( the ones that actually work to complete them) live the longest, and a big scoop of a whole lot of luck.
