Yeah, I think I AM hooked on POR-15...must be the epoxy fumes

Actually, except for the fine laser etched "1/2" on it, it looks pretty good all shiny chrome. I rotated it around so you can't see too much writing on it, but to the trained eye, any motorhead can tell it is a socket.

I think it might be an alt light wire but I'm not sure. Alt light wires are very small wires. P.S. I hooked my new 100 amp alt up this weekend. Very easy to do the one wire convertion. I paid $200 at Performance Distributors here in Memphis. Now I run 14 volts.

I am only getting 13+ volts right now. Not sure if it is because of all the long-distance wiring to the trunk, or what. But, it is a "healthy" 13.5 volts, no fluctuation from turn signals, etc. I will eventually have to get a better alt, but I didn't want the car sitting "on blocks" in the garage when I could have it back on the road again for $40.

Also, when I ran the battery to the trunk, and again when I ran the kill switch, I left a good 12-24" of extra wire at each end knowing that i would reroute, and put in new parts, so now that I have a one-wire installed, I have cut all the wires down to size, put on good connectors, and have them all covered and mounted safely to the frame and fenders.

Yeah I understand that. My car has been sitting for about an month while I put all new electric gauges in then the alt went out. Now I just have to program the speedo. I didn't run the battery to the trunk yet. Cost to much for those kits at this point.
