Recently my power steering pump has been leaking badly and I think it's time to replace it. I looked online and I can't seem to find a relatively cheap pump for a 77 comet 302. Are there any alternatives that are plug in play or is there a website I might be missing. I'm open to buying one from this sight as well.

By alternative I mean what other Powe steering pump from other vechiles would work. It would seem odd if the manufacturer used a special made pump for the comet

The least expensive way would probably rebuild the pump you have! Don't know what you consider cheap?
    There are sources for rebuilds.

Beginning mid '76 pressure hose connection changed from the common flared type, to ones using O rings(as did ones for valve & cylinder). These continued through '80 for Granada, Versailles etc. AFAIK all use same pump. Since there were fewer of these vehicles, replacement is likely going to be more expensive. The pumps with flared connections date back into the 1960s.

If it's leaking from front seal, that's a good bit of work to replace. The can(case) seal is fairly easy. Easiest fix would be a leaking O ring at pressure hose.

Last time I talked to Roger, he cannot get the proper rebuild kits for Thompson / TRW Ford pumps.
