    Scooper,
Thanks, what is that part number. I'll try to look around and see if I can find it on their(JCW) site or in an old catalogue.

I don't have a catalog on hand, and I cannot find the part on their on-line catalog. But if you have the paper catalog, just look for the "Heavy Duty" springs that are listed for the Maverick.

Just a word of caution. Lowering the front end by cutting spring coils will reduce the available travel of the front suspension before it bottoms out. If that's OK with you, cut away.

For me, drop spindles will work much better. It will bring the front end down, but retain the suspension travel.

I agree about the drop spindles, but who offers them? Maybe a mustang warehouse?

The short answer is yes. However, I haven't researched which ones yet. I'm sure there's someone here who has done the swap who can fill us in.

Depends on your goals. The 550lb springs would be real nice for most peoples needs. I tend to like the ride a little stiffer and hate body roll, so 620s are too much for some people.

Here is a pic of the 550s compared to stock. The ride is drops about an inch with these. Uninstalled the difference looks much greater, but the factory springs compress a lot more than the aftermarkets.

Yes, but as long as you don't cut too much off (like lowering the car by only an inch or inch &-a-half), it should be fine. I would highly recommend drop spindles for a more drastic drop than that...

I dropped mine about an inch, maybe 1.5", I drag my headers on everything. I could not see dropping it anymore unless I was making a "hoopty-mobile":p
