Cool Roadrage, at least you have tried a few before forming your opinion. I have two cars that have had Holleys for a long time and they run great. I have probably owned over 30 Holleys in the past. I have been able to make almost all of them work. Ethanol in the gas these days does eat at the accelerator pump check valve though. I also had a 428 Cobra Jet with dual 500cfm Carters and it was a chore. That being said, I am not partial to any particular carb. They all work. My next carb will probably be an Edelbrock as I have heard nothing but good things. But it will be a while before I need to do that.
Well I couldn't say anything about Holleys up until tonite. The Motorcraft carb on the Thunderchicken was blowin gas out of the front pump so I went down to the parts store and got a (new) rebuilt carb and low and behold its a Holley. I bolted it on, ran my lines and soon as the gas hit it she fired right up and is purrin like a kitten. I havn't taken it out and put the juice to it yet but so far I'm impressed.
