Nope. I won't be there either. Car is smoking like a chimney. iIthink it is the valve seals causing it. I pulled the #1 plug and was cranking the engine over by bumping the solenoid. Looking for TDC (compression stroke) and it sucked my finger down into the spark plug threads. Never had an engine do that before. That is why I do not suspect the rings being bad and causing smoking. It doesn't matter about the 302 anyways since I am going to be putting the 351W out of my full size Bronco in it. When/IF I do it sometime soon, I will definately be taking pictures of the whole process of swapping in the engine and notching the towers. BTW: What gauge metal should I use for the "notches" ?
Have your uncle take his Falcon to the Fun Ford Sunday in Vallejo on September 10th. I'm trying to get the Maverics/Comets put with the Falcons/Comets at this show. Roz
Nope...not gonna make it guys. Gotta go bowling that weekend. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Psyche!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Might go to Bowling Green Kentucky that weekend...on my way back home from the Round-UP!!! It's about a 13 hour drive for me too but it's well worth it.
Hey Seth, if they don't show up...you reckon we can vote Georgia out of the club??? :evilsmile Yeah...that'll take care of that Maverick population problem they're having. You know, that's gonna be a shame. The most Mavericks in any one state and not the first one of them even shows up. Okay...everybody send your ballots to me!!!
really wish i could go, i actually have a real job this year so i guess its a good enough reason.. really enjoyed the drive last year and meeting all the nice maverick/comet owners
