Eddie and that car are all over Facebook. I am sure you can find him there.

He should be proud of it .... that thing is Purrrtay  . I mean there are cars that just make you drool from being 'restored', resto modded, crazy engine builds/swaps, and then some that you just love seeing. This is 1 of those cars for me ! I have all the pics I have came across of it from the net and it's my wallpaper .... gives me inspiration and hope someday mine will look that way. Trying to find Eddie on facebook :hmmm:

found Eddie on facebook. Maybe after the show he'll give me the info on the car .... from 1 of his pics this thing may be close to the original color :90: and the car was a very clean stock hubcap wearing car [IMG]

Now just to get mine back to looking like a new stock Maverick, the color of his car now, and that low. hahaha easier said than me doing it

I don't like the stance at all. It looks like it was bagged and then dropped all the way down (which is done mostly only when parked). I like a car that sits nice & low, but that's a bit extreme.
    Love the color though.

Oh man that's the coolest part of being bagged, going from a nice low daily stance to laid out, purging all the air from the bags (almost like a nos purge or blow off, and then laying frame (usually a full frame) on the ground flush front to back

sometimes with big wheels 18" + you'll get the camber lean (not to be mistaken for V.I.P or stance where it's permanent) with stretched tires or 13" like on a low rider. It all depends on the vehicle, wheel size, and etc but I love it  Still able to lift back to factory ride height and beyond too for those of you who don't like the slammed scene and even easiest way to clear speed bumps & rake it out either 'cali' or nose down with the a$$ up

All I know is what he told me and that was all stock suspension with bags. My guess would be he used shockwaves but it's just that, a guess. I don't actually know the guy, we have mutual friends but that's about it.

Thanks! That's still somewhat of a help. I'm just trying to figure out which way I want to go with this car right now and knowing what I can do with the limitation of NOT cutting it up helps determine what may happen to it in the future. I love the green car's stance but if it's a modified front .... Mustang II or something and totally cut and modified rear set up then I know that low stance isn't in my car's future. I'll look into the shockwaves and what else I can find about vintage Mustang setups on air ride. Eddie will probably be the best bet here or someone who has 1 of these cars done to the point of driving it like this.

I can almost guarantee that a stance like that is not in your future

For the Maverick more than likely not due to the promise my dad made me make when he gave me the car (old school traditions kinda car guy ... jacked up raked rear ends, 15" wheels, and believes that I couldn't handle nor need 350+ hp in something like these cars)

Okay, so it is bagged. Nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't want a permanent stance like that.

Of course NOT because it wouldn't be drive-able but the great things about bags is the adjustable heights for just about all street driven vehicles at the push of a button or even the more expensive self adjusting auto kits out there.
Not to mention if you watch this

you can easily place jack stands etc to work on it. Not that the Mavericks or uni body stuff can likely do this due to the way they are made and built but there's great benefits for the bang for the buck.

However, for what I'm seeing price wise for Mustang air ride on these vintage cars is like double what I paid for a 3 link bag on bar FBSS (front, back, side to side) kit for an S10 years ago $3500 for everything -air fittings which is far less now to bag even a full size truck. These people paying $2-4K for just the parts not including the compressors and valves etc are obviously not your typical blue collar budget guys
