By all means, put mufflers on of some kind. There is something to be said for being respectful of others some times. I have mufflers on my vehicles, but they aren't all what some would call quiet. I like to hear the rumble of the engine but I also like to hear my stereo. It is your car and your choice. I like to hear them loud at the race track. Not as much on the street. My motorcycle is loud, but there isn't any stereo on the bike.
