I would like to find a comet 4 dr to do myself. the unique front end and tail lights takes the attention away from the amount of doors. Well thats my opinion anyway. My 2 cents!
I have 3 4 door Mavs and have driven a couple of others. The 4 doors definitely ride a little nicer, and they actually seem to handle better. They feel more stable on twisty roads.
4 Door Mavs I restored a 75 4 door and it looks sharp. My preference is the 4 door because from an engineering stand point the 2 door is abnormally short in the back. It has an unbalanced appearance. Plus you can see to back up a 4 door, no feely back up until you hear something go crunch. Texasjack
I think cars like the 94-96 Impala SS, 03-04 Mercury Marauders, 05-present Dodge Chargers, and the Euro-muscle Lux-Sport cars like Mercedes, BMW and evern the larger Japanese sport sedans have made 4-doors much more respectable in the performance workl.....seems classics is where they still lack most the interest and value. I think it's the old "Hot Rod" thing.....4-doors just never came across as "performance" looking. However, new trends and styles like "Pro-Touring" lend themselves perfectly to 4-doors, and can redeem some of our old 4-door classics some respect. No one can say 4-doors can't be sweet or even bad a## rides
Man, drop that rear a couple of inches, I'd be all over that thing! (Hey, anyone know what brand wheels those are?)
I would pimp the hell out of a four door and it would be one of the most beautiful cars on this side of the world...
I like 4-door Mavericks and Comets and would love to remake the Deadboy Maverick. I think they can be done to look great if done right!!
the old timers on this forum all know my 4 door but here are a few pics for the newbies. i would still be driving it today except for the fire. there are several people with the vision and will to build a nice 4 door. but like others have said, don't expect to get your money back when you go to sell. I'm biased but i have to say i had the nicest built 4 door anywhere around here. i still get sad looking at these pics
That's actually what I was going to do with my 4 door (reason for the blue paint). But the wife fell ill and changed all that.
