Will a 351W fit about the same as the 302W does in a 72 Maverick ?

Somebody told me the deck is higher on a 351W so that might not make it feasible. Has anybody here done it?

It's a very tight fit but there have been a few swaps. I know of at least one who swapped back to 302.

The taller deck height may not be a problem hood clearance wise, but it also pushes the heads out towards the shock towers along with the exhaust.

I have a question beings it's a unibody frame at what hp rating do you need to start beefing up the frame

Unless you're going to go all out drag racing, you don't need to do anything. Horsepower by itself won't affect the unibody. Just as with the drivetrain, it's the sudden application of torque that pulls things apart.
