Obviously, I'm gonna have to wait & see, but I'm just looking for opinions based on your experience. I finally installed my new leafsprings that I bought from ESPO last fall. They are just stock replacement 3-leaf, but the car has quite a "rake" now, as if it has air-shocks (but it doesn't). Do you guys think they will settle over the next couple of months?
I doubt u will see any meaningful settling. I don't have ESPO's, but installed General springs abt 4yrs ago and don't see little if any settling.
I have a set sitting in my garage because of the same issue. There is no way they will settle enough to even them out. I ended up switching to caltrac mono leads and they are tall to but not as tall as the replacement 3 leads.
I doubt they'll settle to your liking... The tail was a little saggy on my Comet so I stuck a pair of air shocks on it, with about 30 psi in them it's just the right height...
This is 4-leaf Espo's. They haven't settled...but the height looks just right. Let's see some pictures of your's.
Hard to judge the stance from those angle shots. But if the stance is good maybe you should consider filling up that well with rubber. What size are those rear tires (diameter )?
Here is another profile picture of the 3 leafs. To the original poster does it push your axle forward so you axle doesn't look centered in the wheel well?
Those springs are ridiculously high, no matter the viewed angle. My 4 leaf Generals were nowhere near that high even though the ride was intolerable AFAIAC. I removed the bottom leaf and only lost between 1/2-1". That car is/was so ass-end high - it might give any rear passengers nose bleed.
