Will this door fit??

    1973 Mercury Comet GT
    I have a '73 Comet GT (2-door). I am buying a door off of a guy that has a 1976 Maverick 2-door. All 2-doors are interchangable right? It should fit correct?

    All 2-door doors are interchangeable, but the armrests and opener handle doohickies are different from around '72/'73 and later.

    This is the earlier style door...notice that the handle to open it is attached to the front of the armrest...

    The later doors had a large looped handle and the opener thingy was further forward...this is the pic of the same door after modification to make it look like the newer doors.
