    maybe this has been brought up, but the picture with the girl in front of the car it looks like the placard in the front seat says Shelby on it.

    Neat little write up on the Mexican Shelbys over at Jalopnik that mentions the Maverick run...

    "At the end of 1971, Shelby was out of business. The last Mexican Shelbys built were a 300 car run based off the Ford Maverick. Similarly to the GT351, there was no performance addition, nor actual Shelby hardware. These 300 cars marked the end of what was arguably the most interesting of all the Latin American classic cars."

    Are there any real Shelby Mavericks I have herd lots of tails of them but every time someone says they seen one
    a second person says it is not a real one! If there are any Can someone post a picture of a real Shelby Maverick!

    Pictures are not "fake". The car was real...the heritage is real....the whole situation has been documented very well. None are know to exist.....probably none will ever be found.

    I have seen rear pictures somewhere. I seem to recall they where Comet lights on a Maverick tail panel.
