They sell kits to do the 5.0/Focus, supposed to be pretty easy. There's a local guy that has a 5.0/T5 in a Miata, very quick little car.

    Talk about O/T.

I have a movie clip of some guys test 'flying' their 351w into Focus swap.
Wish I had a host for it...
The camera man was following in a BMW and could not keep up... and it could not keep up in the absolute most embarrassing way! The BMW driver was working hard, yet it looked like they were parked when the Focus moved.:drive:

Do you know how much fabrication it would take to make the focus a RWD

NO fabrication at all Autokrafters has the COmplete kit to do the swap with NO welding required the kit runs around $7000 for parts without the 302 or tranny, not sure if the rear end is included or not? . Still the car would be a little terror. Power to weight ratio woudl be off the charts, I belive the kit includes shock tower braces to beef things up for the added power.

    Wow...
I can't believe how much room that has under the hood.
There is plenty of room for a 408w in there.
It looks like an ambitious person could squeeze a Lima block in there!

Anyone know where I can post my mpeg at???

Man, that is awesome! I would have to leave it all stock and "slow" looking, no body kit or fancy rims, quiet exaust. I would LOVE to see the look on some unsuspecting Mustang or Camaro driver's face after opening a serious can of whoop a$$ on them with a FOCUS! :biglaugh:

I think I just added another "life goal" to my list, build a V8 Focus! They should be a dime a dozen in a few more years. :evilsmile

How big is it? email it to me: JMiles@dixiemaverick.com

When Ford first considered that name they almost didn't use it because they thought women might be offended by the name, and the Probe was oriented towards selling to women.

    "Wanna ride my Probe?"

Did you know that ford was gonna call the probe the mustang, how messed up is that.

Probes are fast tho, my friends is a 12 second quarter, i had to see it my self to believe it, and he hit 160MPH on the high way. that is why i dont ride with him in cars.

Yeah that body was to be the next gen mustang and take the place of the Fox mustang, Fortunately Mustang Purists didn't want a Mustang built ( basically ) in Japan, That Platform is the same as the Mazda ... Oh crap I forgot the name of that car but it was a Mazda version of the Probe. It was actaully nicer than the Probe, but no thanks to making it a Mustang.
