    Hood never opened?

Did you verify the motor? A boss 302 would be nice to have! But I'd be surprised if there's an original one in there. Hope you got a steal though. Good luck and good times figuring it all out. Isn't a Mexico vin obviously different?

    Anybody ask Carroll?

Haven't searched the info, but from what I have seen there still seems to be a lot of controversey over this possible car. Anyone ever ask Carroll Shelby? He's still kicking and his company is in Las Vegas. He signs enough glove compartment doors I imagine he might answer.

Craig, you paid money for that? Instead of getting the orange car running? If there isn't a Boss motor in there you got "Ducked".

    Automatic C-4

It would be yellow, followed by dark blue, then under that a medium blue. That is on the main body. A front fender shows signs of once being red....and the rear valence used to be green

I can't read the VIN....it is all in spanish

    8" rear axle

    Yes...bucket seats

Haven't date coded the block yet.

    Holley 750 double pumper

Can you have it??? For a price!!

For some reason I think Craig is serious about this.
Seems like he mentioned this in the past.

I can't make it out in the picture, but does that
rear axle have 2 small drilled or machined holes?
Usually that represents a 31 spline axle. 28's have
    a rectangular slot.

4 lug fronts? If it spent time on rough Mexican
roads and ever needed a front end rebuild, it probably
found donor parts from a local junker. It would have
more likely have been a 6 cyl. donor, thus the early 4 lug
    parts.

Craig, I am nearly married to a certified Spanish
business translator if you need help researching
this thing. Just give me a buzz or drop me an
    e-mail.

I saw the engine when I looked at the car and heard it run. It is missing the air cleaner....so I can't tell for sure what year the motor is. As far as the sticker on the rear..........don't know what the "duck" has to do with it being a Boss Maverick??? He looks to be Spanish, though.

The duck used to be popular in Los Angeles's T-shirts that they sold in the streets in the early 90's, i used to have a shirt w/the duck on it, i dont know however the relationship between the duck and mexican mavs.

O.K.....O.K...........I've strung you guys along long enough.

    NOT A SHELBY...........NOT A BOSS

Just a plain old 1970 Maverick that somebody put a 302 in. Going to be parting it out. Very rough!! It is a prime example of what NOT to do to a Maverick.

It has been funny stringing some of you along. Some of you were leary right away, still others I had hooked in the mouth, snug in the net, and in the boat!!

As far as the VIN being in Spanish. Even if it was.....it would still be numbers just like in the old US of A.

Wasn't sure if I fooled Seth.....or if he was helping me perpetulate a lie. Either way........(y) on the great writing!!!

More pictures to come in other post. Here is the motor.

I am guessing the rear wing/spolier is off of a late 80's GM wagon.
