I wondered how far you would push it. I think it could have gone farther w/out the B2 motor part.

i didn't post any more about this as i didn't want you to get offended when i called you a :bs:er, especially when you said the vin was in spanish. i think most of us were surprised when you passed this off for a shelby, cause we thought you were the expert. :tsk: :)

Perhaps someday one will show up.
Maybe someone needs to find a Mexican Ford
dealer that was in business back then and find
    out what they know.

I figured if it were actually a Boss you'd have elaborated a bit. Its not like its impossible to fit in there... someone could have put it in there at some point... the engine would be worth more than the car.

I thought Gaucho's remark about a Maverick GT sold in Mexico was interesting, I guess I am kinda lerry now about what is true on this thread so I noticed that his name could be pronouced "GOT YOU" Was there a Maverick GT produced in Mexico?

I'll give you $1 for the rear wing haha. Since it's so race
That car could be saveable however.
Front bumper doesn't look like its in bad shape from the up close pic

Believe me....the car is not saveable. Check out the air shock thread and see all the rear frame rust on the rear picture.

ok about the mexican GT, only i know, mexico make the sport GT version of the maverick only in 77. but i dont know much more.

here i post a image of the invoice from de ford dealer, and say:
especial deportive type, aluminum rims, GT transfers, and chamois? (gamuza) interiors. (i put the link, because the image is big to put in the post)

    the other opcinal equipmet is:
    individual seats
    3 point segurity belts
    globe box with key
    comfort set
protection for "carroceria" (i dont know the word in english)
the radio, tires and tranmision 4 speed.

if someone knows something about mexicans GT please share.

I wonder if it was a dealer option. Gaucho, you can upload the invoice to your member gallery in the photogallery.
