ahh. ok. i upload de image in the photogallery.

and about my car. then my maverick GT, could be a dealer option only ?

can dealers make his custom versions with the ford permission? (my car have the line like the comet GT on the sides, and making this without the permission of ford or mercury, sounds like problems to the dealer. no??...)

There have been many dealer editions of Mavericks, including the Mod Maverick, Bearcar Comet, etc. All they do is add on bolt on parts like side pipes, scoops, etc.

The Maverick GT was a factory option in Mexico.

    Gaucho,
Does your car have the little bumpers and grabber hood like the Brazil GT's? I like the factory 4-speed!

nop have big bumpers, and the normal hood.
302 and 4 speed from factory, and the other opcional equipment i post with de image of the invoice.

i want to know if the car was a gt from ford, or only a mod form the dealer.

i know another maverick GT, and have the 4 speed, 302, comet gt line on the sides and the same things. but the owner dont have any idea of the origin of the car.

Well.....here is what the MCCI and this message board is all about. Here are pictures of me and Dan Starnes pulling out the 302 Boss (Cough, Cough) motor and tranny. What a way to spend a hot and humid Saturday morning. Dan logged over 800 miles in one day going on a "parts" run last Saturday. He bought the motor and tranny for a project of his.

After Dan left..........I stripped the rest of the car. Now it is ready for the junk yard to come pick up. Goodbye to a "legend".

I have piles of glass that nobody ever wants to buy and I can't ship. Plus........the glass in this car was scratched on the outside and had a real nasty tint job on the inside.

Wow ... I put a new tinted Windshield in the Grabber when I got it painted ... they came to the bodyshop and did it ... $175 installed ... got it for wholesale price through the body shop ... I supplied the gasket ...
