WhatEVER. I'll put automatic against a manual any day, all else being equal.

How anyone can gets the idea that laboriously shifting ones own gears all the time provides a performance benefit, is one of those mysteries of the universe...

I could give a crap less about the performance diffrence really, I just enjoy driving a manual more. Plus I think manual transmissions have less drag on the engine or something like that.

Speak for yourself buddy! It sucks that the car I'm going for is an automatic, but that'll be one of THE first things I really delve into and change. Automatics suck monkey nuggets!!!
I just like having the power to do whatever the heck I want when I want to. Plus I've driven some CRAPPY automatics before and they left a bad taste in my mouth. Someday I'll get into a high-traffic area and my clutch leg will get all crampy and I'll wish for an automatic, but not in this lifetime bub! :D

Nothing "crappy" about my C-4 at all. And guess what? I can shift gears on it when I want as well. It's not like I can only stick it in "D" and let it decide. I have just as much "control" of it as you would with a manual.

    Sorry for thread-jacking. Couldn't resist...

And all this time I thought TL was a DUDE, and not a 13 year old middle school girl :D (sorry, just haven't poked fun at you in a while, since I lost my sidepipes, which, by the way, was a very good suggestion (y) )

LOL When I originally read that, I thought the same thing. Figgured giving him a hard time over the transmission was enough for now. :evilsmile
