Hi guys!
A few weeks ago I had posted an inquiry on this forum to find out exactly what was included in a new 1972 Comet as far as new owner paperwork.
Between some of the items I already had, what new info was posted from members here, and doing extensive on-line research, I believe I have everything except the Owner Card and the printed Consumer Information Sheet, which contained the car's VIN. Since the Owner Card is being reproduced by Marti Autoworks, I've ordered it. There's no way...

First off....I don't own a REAL Maverick so.....I did next best thing. I built a scale version of one so I could say that I actually DO own a Maverick....so to speak.

Next....let me go into the actual car. I've been wanting to build a Maverick for a VERY long time but there aren't many kits to choose from. The best offering (and this isn't saying much) is the Jo-Han kit. I was fortunate to get mine from someone on another...

I had a really good time with my Dyno Don Maverick build. True....there were some trying times involved but I think I've my process down on these cars now. I have another Jo-Han Maverick in the stash in glue bomb form. I found a spare unpainted body and hood on ebay so I picked it up so I could at least start fresh. One of the things that I DON'T have for this build is a suitable glass assy so I'll be looking for one of those. I was hoping to build a 429 car but Hubert Platt's Maverick...

I’ve only been here a few days and came here because I’ve always liked the Maverick/ Comet Line Up. My brother and I grew up being avid sports car fans and both later became 60’s Mustang fans. I’ve owned three 1967 Mustangs and my brother Steve owned his own 67 as well. At the same time we’ve always admired the Mavericks. Time passed on and we both did what dang near everybody does and we got rid of our cars. I eventually got an 89 LX 5.0 that I did the WORKS to and drove that for 10 years...
