OK.. I inadvertently sucked myself back into it again. I'll say this and leave it at that for now.

IF these guys haven't gotten their "you know what" together by the time all the snow is melted and many of these guys start really wanting to drive their cars? and including having all the parts installed for which they've already spent money on?.. I'll be leading the petition to start the refund process.

At the very least.. fires will be lit under somebody's keister because that same "strength in numbers" rule works out in our favor again here too. It's silly ridiculous that this small project has been stalled for this long and unfortunately for all involved.. people getting pissed off is sometimes the only way to "get er' done". I've been around long enough to know that the squeakiest wheels always get greased first when business reputations start coming into the picture.

i know that i got both versions of the defective bars. the first one came with hardware kits and the second did not.
i know that at least one person only got the second version of the defective bars and did not any hardware kits. it will not suprise me if the final version if it ever comes does not have the hardware kits so people who dont have hardware you should speak up to addco about making sure you get them included.
i also know that at least one canadian had to spend a lot on the shipping due to addco not correctly shipping them to him.
in the end a refund will be a messy situation.
i really hope they pull their act together and just make the proper bar.

I have one set, and payed $80 + dollars in brokerage and taxes..and if I would have accepted the second set without knowing, I'd be out another $125...plus I'll have to pay again on the third set, since they refuse to send them the way I've asked...I think I'll just call and ask for a refund next week..

I heard back from John today... They are waiting on Materials. It should be next week. They will include hardware when they send the new bar.

Hey Dave... I've seen that if they list the part as 'warranty/replacement' for shipping, it shouldnt cost as much for you.

I explained that to them, but they said they wern't allowed to do that...So I gave them the address of a broker I use in Port Huron, Michigan, hopefully they will remember...I really want the parts, and I don't blame anyone but them, but this is a little beyond normal...I will never, ever, ever buy anything from them again, and I'll be sure that everyone knows how $hitty they are.

I received my bar a couple days ago. It looks like a standard non adjustable bar. It appears to have all hardware with it. I will not be fitting this to my car but will instead find a way to make the adjustable version work.

Anyone want to by a bar?

No offense intended here, Chris.. and I'm sure most here are grateful that you spearheaded the "larger bar" project.. but it seems that your highly modified cars suspension may not be the best model to fabricate these bars around in the first place. Especially considering that you'll not be mocking up any newer iterations that are sent your way. Sounds like a waste of our time and Addco's resources.

Where'd 71Mavrk go to?.. and has he received the newest bar as well?

I would propose that John @Addco be made aware that new bars sent out for test fitting may be best directed to another car with stock type suspension so we can be done with this whole ordeal. Otherwise.. I'll be pushing to get my money back very soon.. and trying to persuade others to do the same. They've had more than enough time to bend a bar.. and I couldn't care less whether it's adjustable or not. It's bigger and stiffer than the other one they already have in the catalogue and that'll be good enough for me.

Interesting. I thought this was the production bar everyone was getting. There was no reference to this being a trial fit especially considering that this bar is powder coater and came with hardware. The last bar was raw and no hardware. Given that info.... I'll test fit it asap.

    Thanks for the reply, Chris.

Hmmm.. maybe I assumed too much as I thought that you and 71Mavrk were in the "test fitter's loop" here. You seem to be getting bars faster and more often than the rest of us.

Maybe that's not the case then.. and I surely wasn't trying to leverage(guilt trip) you into doing any more work on your car than need be to at this point.

The powder coating and hardware is a good sign too! :bananaman
