17" AR Maverick Wheels

Am seriously considering 17" American Racing Chrome "Maverick" wheels. Anyone on the forum running the 17" Mavericks? Pics?

 

the offset looks a little much...

 

I've looked at them so many times but idk anyone that has them

 

I purchased a set for my Maverick. "Maverick" wheels on a Maverick. Go figure!

 

What size and back spacing did you order? I'm about to order 17" wheels for mine and have been struggling to decide on back spacing.

 

I bought them used off an SN95 Mustang. They are 5.82" with a 40mm offset. I will have to use spacers, but have used them before without issue. Trying to find 4.5" backspacing with 17's really limits your choices.

 

Yea, it's tough to find the right wheels! Does 4.5" BS work for front and back?

 

I can't say for sure, when it comes to 17's.

 

Ok, well I went for it, so we will see how they fit when I get them! Fronts should fit and I believe worse case I will have to run a spacer in the back.

 

What did you buy??

 

I went with the American racing torq thrust. 17x8's all around. 4.5" back spacing. Hope it works! Lol. I did a bunch of research and people use such a variety of back spacing that it's not just " use this" and we will be fine! I also ordered into 555 245/45's for the front and 275/40's for the rear. My buddy works at a body shop, so we are going to roll the fenders and qauter panels before we paint it this spring.

 

Sounds like a plan. Post some pics when you get them mounted.

For sure! I'm excited. Nerve racking deciding on a back spacing though!

 

No doubt. Tire sizes can be even worse.

 

Haha... For sure. That's why I just ordered what I want and will figure out how to fit them in there.
