That should be a good combo. You may have to roll your front fender lips, Im running the same tire and same rim, but a 7" width on the Maverick. Im also lowered in the front 1.5". I have the 555 275/40s on my Typhoon and I love them.
I'm running 245/45R17's in the back on 7.5" rims. Not sure what tire size I will run on the front yet. Ideally, I would like the same tires on all four corners, but may go an inch narrower on the front.
A 215/50R17 is pretty close in dia to a 245/45R17. I might use the 215's in the front in hopes of avoiding having to roll the fender lips. The 245's should be fine on the rear.
That will look good also! You could always get two 245/45's mounted and try them in the front. If you don't like them then you can put them on the back and order a deifferent size for the front. One nice thing is you will have to run spacers either way, so you will be able to fine tune your back spacing.
I'm rInning 17x8, 4&1/4 backspace with no wheel spacers. 275/40 on rear(rolled lips) and 225/45 fronts(not rolled) and it seems to work well. Good luck
You have any pictures of your stance, especially the rear? I was considering going 275/40 in the rear. Im sure i will have to upgrade to an 8" wide wheel
QUOTE="rotorr22, post: 1045254, member: 9328"]I purchased a set for my Maverick. "Maverick" wheels on a Maverick. Go figure![/QUOTE] Looking good Ed!
Decided to go with the 215's (Wide Oval Indy 500's) up front. Got a killer deal on Ebay. Taking them to Firestone tomorrow to mount 'em up. To look at them, you cannot tell a lot of difference between the 215's and 245's.
I was going to, but came across a very good deal on the 215's. They are an inch narrower than the 245's, although visually you don't notice that much difference. I'm lowering the car 1" and many people seem to have issues with rub with the 245's up front when the car is lowered.
