I have discs on the front drums in the rear with 15x4.5 5 spoke aluminum wheels, I don't have a spare, what size wheel and tire would be best to fit in the trunk, was the original size 14x6?
You'll need a wheel from a 74 & up, so the center bore will clear the hub on the disc brakes. Just find something that is close to the diameter of what you are running.
The original would have been a 14x 4.5". My current spare is from a '75-'80 Granada, which I think it s 5 or 6-inch wheel. The tire size is 195/75-14.
no locker, just stock 8 in.with 6cyl. I was just going to call a salvage yard for a wheel but I wasn't sure what to ask for, I guess 14 or 15 in for a 74 and up would that be right.
Not to hijack this thread, but this raises a question for me. Would a difference of only .16" cause a problem with a limited-slip (Traction-Lok) rear-end??
I doubt it I used to race circle track cars and we had locker units in them with 3 inches of stagger and that worked good locked during acceleration and unlocked in the corners
