Always liked this car and these look just fine to me. 18x10's on the rear too. I think I could squeeze 19 x 11's on the back of mine. http://mmb.maverick.to/media/maverick.6847/#media http://mmb.maverick.to/media/maverick-2.6845/#media http://mmb.maverick.to/media/maverick-3.6846/#media
just got finished lowering the front of the Mav. the 18s fit beautifully with 1.5 coils cut off. did decide to install 225/40/18 on the front wheels because of clearance issues, and that also gets it very close to specs with known working 17" packages a lot of you are using. currently working on lowering the rear. stock ride height in the rear in pics. will post photos when thats done. still a 2 inch spacer in the front, ended up working perfectly. current BS up front is still 4.75"
I'd think one issue you would run into is rubbing after you ad a bunch of caster to the alignment. I put 17's on mine and added quite a bit of caster and they rub on the front if conditions are just right. No rub at all with stock maverick alignment settings.
So I finished lowering the rear... And I'm impressed. Looks beautiful, to me at least, and deffinitly doesn't look too big. Here's some pics for ya: Sorry they're sideways I dunno what's up with that
My neck hurts now. lol Looks pretty damned good to me and I sure wouldn't kick it out of my garage because the "wheels are too big"!
Here I have 18x9 front 265/40/18 and 18x10 rear 275/35/18. From some angles I think the tire looks way too short but other angles it looks really good. Also GrabberGT has the same tire/wheel size setup I do but he did the fender arch mod
I think he meant 265/35-18. The 40 series would be way too tall. Im now running a 285/35 on the rear. It matches the 265 on the front much better than the 275 did.
Im running 17x7 4.25 bs with 225 45 fronts Rears are 17x8 4.5 bs 245 45 17s Plan to move rear combo to front and upgrade rears for 18x9 with 275 40
that'll be a good setup. originally i wanted to do a 17 18 stagger but i when i got my Bullitt these wheels obviously came with it and i figured i might as well see what it looks like lol.
