The video probably needs to read dimmer switch rather than headlight switch. I didn't watch the full length so I have no idea if he mentioned using two relays, one for each position of the dimmer switch.

I saw no way to wire both high/low sides without 2 relays.
when we did Earl and mine, I made a new pigtail with new headlight plugs. it plugged into the stock headlight plug with spade connectors to get the connections needed. our thinking was if anything went wrong down the road...just unplug and plug the stock plugs back on the headlights and...:drive:...:chirp:

note...putting a relay on the blower motor is a must also...you can hear the difference.

truck-lite LED. They are a little pricey but well worth it and is a direct replacement. Plug and play.

It would be nice if they have the lumen and color temperature specifications.

Not trying to take anything away from this thread (it's interesting), but I've never felt that my Maverick headlights were not bright enough. I find it interesting that people feel the need to make them brighter.

Not gonna lie here... it is a little unusually blue if you are not used to HID/LED lights already. But the blue color of the lights suits my cars theme so no problems for me. It did take some getting used to.

Drive-ability wise, its a "night and day" difference. I truly believe that, weighted by ease of install, this is the best mod on my car. It literally only takes 20 minutes to do. I wish it would have been an option years ago.

If there was one upgrade I would tell anyone to do if they truly want to drive their car it would be this. DO THIS FIRST and then disc brakes. LOL

Might have to out that on the list of stuff to get. Though at $300 they had better put out some great light!

I have driven my car for 30+ years and I always thought the output sucked. It was really apparent when a modern car was beside me and it was like my lights were not even on.

I went so far as to spend hours modifying the grill and Sport Light mounts to get the Lucas lights in there.

For me, when I'm blasting down a lonely strip of desert highway at 100 MPH, there cannot be enough light.

My turn signals are flat panel LEDs. They are blindly bright white like the head and driving lights. I suspect they could have gotten a whiter LED but opted for the blue tint of the HIDs to follow the tuner trend. They may even be using a filter to get the blue tint.

Upgrade to Silverstars with relay mod, you'll change your mind... At least I did..

It's not necessary to touch any wiring inside the car... I cut into harness near washer bottle, installed the relays and there was a very noticeable difference... I haven't upgraded any of the original wiring, in my opinion not really enough length to make a huge difference... If you want that last .1v that's fine, but alternator output between vehicles can vary 5x that(or ½ volt)...
