Personally, I think ANY mud flap will ruin the look of the car. Then again, NOT using mud flaps will likely ruin the paint around the wheel wells, etc. I have heard of people buying generic flat rubber mud flaps and using binder clips or similar to temporarily hold them to the wheel lip while driving and then they can be quickly detached once you're at the show. I would be so torn between protecting the paint and drilling holes for mud flaps... I don't envy your decision.
I have a set on my car. They are fairly small and not very obvious, but do a good job of keeping the burnt rubber and stone chips off my fenders. They fasten with little clamps not screws, therefore no need to drill. They are molded to fit the fenders very nicely. I've had them for years and am not sure where I got them. I always have run them on my Mavericks. Yea, I know. When am I adding my curb feelers? Back in the day when Mavericks were all over the place, I typically saw paint blasted off the quarters and fenders from road grit. I ran plastic flaps on my car and never had an issue. You could even buy them back then that had the "Maverick" name on them.
I have this on my hood lip, front valance, behind the front fenders, along the rocker panel and rear quarters. A nearly invisible investment in keeping the paint looking good. Just say "NO" to mud flaps Micah
They lie. Not the greatest detail, but I installed on the rear. I don't think they'd look good on the front.
