Shock and leafspring

    I only use it on the street. The ride feels kind of bumpy - but I've never ridden in another classic car or another maverick before so I don't have a point of reference

    New moog suspension on the front, but 45 year old shocks all around. Don't know how much shocks would affect that either - the front feels alil bumpy too.... All rubber bushings

    If you find the ride is to bumpy/hard, remove the bottom (#4) leaf; that will make a difference.
    I agree w/ Rasit -- dump those 45 yr old shocks! I have 4 KYB Blacks on my car, they are reasonable priced and they look factory. Also, they ride nice. I assume road conditions in NC has better roads than hr in Midwest and the fourth leaf on my car was to much kidney banger.

    They're fine if your springs are not completely shot to begin with.

    add-a-leaf ' spring setup ... as Crazy said, I put them on a worn out set of stock 3 leaf and they did nothing. I guess I was thinking they would rearch the springs...:disagree:
    the way Chip used them are what they are for.
    ...stiffen up leaf springs when going to add weight to trunk...:thumbs2:
