im looking to up grade my stock mechanical fan for something better on these hot days the car likes to get to 200-210. I have a 190 thermostat works great on cooler days not so much on hotter days. Right now it's a 250 6 cylinder/c4 all stock with all new hoses heater core and thermostat and radiator has been flushed. I'm going to put a 302 in it later and know how to do the fan for that but want to keep it cooler now so I can enjoy driving it and not worry about it. Looking to see if anyone has done a Taurus fan to a 250 I 6 or the 2 extra cylinders make it impossible to fit(which on test fit it seems) and advise or pictures would help. I will just try a flex fan with a upgraded radiator if all else fails.
Butters, Taurus set up is great. I'm running it on my 347. I'm using it with the stock 250/302 radiator. The set up should be the same when you upgrade from the 250 to the 302. Your test fit should have confirmed. I suggest using the Dakota Digital controller and the Leash relay. Jamie Miles on this form did a taurus fan on a i6 try to search it was a long time ago .. s for a controller the volvo is the best bang for your buck form 6.00 to 10.00 dollars at your local junk yard or 50.00 dollars at NAPA you will still need to get connectors from the jyard
Yes but our winters get in the negatives and the heater works great during this time and I'd like not having to change the t stat out every season haha
Thank you I am just going to be using the Volvo relay for now through a 3 way toggle switch for budget wise.
