So I've never done one of these.... Looks like fun tho What's your burnout procedure? Manual or automatic welcome. I'm running C4 with 3.0 gears in the rear (so might not even be possible) Not trying to be these guys (foul language video)

Thought would be fun to do before/after burnouts for when I switch out the rearend and tranny No one advocating revving up in neutral and then dropping it into gear? Maybe bleaching the tires? Thought about taking the rear brake pads off... But that's just too much work for a one time thing What's a "peg leg"? Dare I ask....
'Peg Leg' means that the car doesn't have a Traction Loc rear end and will only spin the right rear tire.
Just back up and drop it low and watch parts scatter then you can get the rearend and tranny sooner. You could just back your rear brake shoes off and tighten up your front shoes and it should hold you.
This is sounding more and more like a dumb thing to try - maybe I'll try a few different ways when I have a new rearend and tranny in hand
I did more than my share of "neutral drops" when I had my first car and some how the transmission lived for a long time. The trans was a GM turbo 400 behind a 283 with less than 200 horse power which is probably why. Regarding doing a burnout, if you have to ask then you probably shouldn't. Get some more miles in and be comfortable with the car before you unleash the stupidity that is the male driver(no offense, I still fit this category)! Even with an open rear (one tire spinning) it is still possible to get both going and you'll end up on a video just like the one you posted. Once you really know the car you won't have to ask, you'll know what it will take. No offense but I have to ask, are you saying you never did a burnout on the road or in a parking lot as a young man? I thought it was a right of passage for a gear head!
It always happens to me when I jump in my 72, for some reason my age get reversed and I end up being 16 but I do it when no one is around (well most of the time)
Patches makes me do it at least 10 times every time I drive it... at least it's not "the front end coming off the ground leaving a light problem" the other Guy had...LOL ...
Hate it when that happens, too much power and traction to be street legal! Man if I had a dollar for every time that comes up, got a 3/4 race cam in her....she's barely street legal!!!
No offence taken. But....I have never done it. I have always had to pay for my own tires....or my own paint job....or my own transmission rebuilds.
I never had a car until I was 19 and had to pay for all my stuff as well but the crowd I hung out with all had hotrods and if you didnt do a burnout either your car was not capable of doing it or you were a nerd.
