Just got my 302 put together and It cranks, but has no fire. I believe it is between the distributor, coil and ignition module. My module is from my 250. Dizzy is set correctly top of compression stroke 12 degrees past TDC for cylinder one and rotor is pointed to wire one. No spark from dizzy to coil. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Key on, do you have voltage to the positive side of the coil? Also spark goes from the coil to the dizzy. Not the other way around.
Will check today. I believe I have voltage to post side of coil. I know I do not have spark at coil to dizzy.
No spark from coil: No power to coil...No ground...Bad or mis- adjusted ignition switch... Bad/incorrect ignition module for application...Bad coil. Good luck!!!
Okay so really embarrassed right now. The pick up coil connector wasn't seated fully into wiring harness. Looked at it a million times should have touched it more than once. Immediately fired after I snagged the connection. Working on timing and cranking down headers to Eliminate the "pop" noise I am getting. Sorry everyone for my non issue.
