I didn't even notice that! Thank you

My coworker is going to be the one installing it (for free! Offered to pay him but he said no) hes used the kwikwire harnesses before on his impala and fairline so I will probably go with that since hes used it before

what got me with this one...http://kwikwire.com/22-circuit-ford-wire-harness/...it comes with 8 butt splices...
are they planning on you splicing at least eight wires...
my Guy ran the wires from A---B with the correct connector on each end, even the tail light sockets had new ends ran into them.

I'll take a kit with butt connectors over one with screw terminals for each wire at the fuse box any day! I don't have to use the butt connectors and they have a solid, reliable connection at the box. I installed an American Autowire kit that had the screw terminals and hated it.

"they have a solid, reliable connection at the box."

I like the American Autowire and Kwik kits too, they have wire ends at the panel fastened at the factory.
As R.Miller stated, you don't have to use the butt connectors. For me, these kits require less time to install and eliminate a lot of possibility for mistakes.

It means there are no screws to back off creating a loose connection. How can I tell? Pretty simple, crimped connections at the fuse panel have been used by the OEM's for decades with very little issue. If you read the description on the quikwire kit, they state their terminals are machine crimped and hand soldered, very unlikely to have an issue there. The fuse box in the link you posted has screw connections like a breaker in a house which I have had first hand experience with them being loose. That and the fact that my hands aren't what they used to be and cramped like nobodies business tightening all those little buggers on the kit I installed!

This is all just my opinion derived through personal experience and opinions are like 69 Camaro's everyone has one but it's my opinion and I like it!!!

Do what I did on most of a friend's '72 Bronco I just rewired, solder the butt connectors/splices after crimping and cover with heat shrink... Kinda time consuming but he'll have to rip the wires in two before there will be a bad connection...
