Has anyone attempted this feat. I am wondering if you would share your outcome.
    Thanks

    Hi Everett:
As you know from previous posts between you and myself, my Daughters 72 Maverick has this setup also but we made our own hoses for fitting purposes and a couple of other changes but the Borgeson Steering is working well !
I recommend this setup also over the stock steering components for a number of reasons.
Incidentally .. How're you doing ! It was nice meeting you in person .. I have the pictures we took in Champaign, Illinois and I'm mounting them on my office wall along with others from previous HRPT's ..We made it back to Florida just fine on Saturday night ..The Comet AND Maverick never had a hic-cup .. No OIL used , ACs cranking all the time ! The Comet averaged 22 MPG and the Maverick about 24.5 .. The Comet is a 408 and the Maverick a stock 5.0 ..Not too shabby . They're both fuel injected and both have 5 speed OD transmissions and that helped a lot .
We drove 3052 miles from Starting in Florida to KC , then to Newton,Ia , Davenport, Ia , Champaign, Ill, Madison (STL) Ill,Indianapolis, then Bowling Green , KY .. ( Seven Stops , Seven Days ) then back home .. A lot of driving .. but that's what I built these cars for.. right ? .. I met Doug Sharp in KC and his pals .. Doug had a transmission problem on the way to the First Stop and had to attend driving an Impala ..But the guy 'Showed Up ' anyway .. Enjoyed meeting him and his friends also. Met some new people with Mavericks on the tour also.

What a coincidence. I just posted in the Maverick Media section that the September Car Craft has an article on Borgenson power steering conversions.

I believe Stefan linked my other posting about the Car Craft story, but not the article itself. You have to buy the issue to get the article. LOL.

That is correct. I updated my original post to indicate that I was link to the post and not the actual article.
