u think I have to do something that nice for the inside of a battery box? Maybe I can just use some por15.... need to get some for my floor pans anyway
I'm planning to relocate the battery to the trunk as well. It's a red optima, will I have a problem with building gases in the trunk?
better weight distribution, read somewhere you would gain a couple of points weight bias towards the rear, again mostly for extremes of road racing, where ideally would be 50/50 front/rear weight ratio.........plus it cleans up the engine compartment! David
For me, EFI pretty much requires it. Getting rid 50 pounds hanging out in front of one tire does help handling. So does equalizing the weight distribution on either side of the trunk. Micah
most people put them in the trunk over the right rear tire to help traction in drag racing ''back in the day''if you don't need an edge racing why bother?
Did you remove the bar to use the gas shock or are using them both together. and if you did remove it can you tell me how
did not remove the bar, mine I just set it on it's weakest setting. my situation was the trunk lid would cock up a little with any tension on the spring. later I found the trunk battery mounting good for my electric fuel pump. I ran the switched on pump wire to the trunk to a 30 amp relay, then short wires to the pump and battery...(E-pumps love 12+ voltage)
