I sent mine in and received them back on Tuesday. They looked nice although when I installed them they were a bit too long as they sagged quite a bit when retracted so I called and they are going to make it right. I mailed them back Wednesday. This time I sent them a sketch with the measurement from the rear bolt hole to the upper harness bolt hole (37 1/2"). I should get them back in about a week and hopefully all will be correct.
Also, I have been working with Mike M. at seatbelt planet. With shipping I expect to get mine back by the 9th and will install them right away. Will keep you posted on how they fit. I noticed you have a 75, my guess is nothing much changed but perhaps you want to check that measurement in your car.
Did both of you use Seat Belt Planets measurement calculator? https://www.seatbeltplanet.com/start-here/seat-belt-selection-guide/ David
They will get mine tomorrow and he said since its a rework he would get to it right away so I'm not sure if they will cross paths or not. Mine had the original belts in it also but somehow the measurements were transposed incorrectly. Hopefully with the bolt distances supplied in a sketch he will get it correct for me. Unrelated but I see what you mean by holes not lining up in the trim. The small screw that goes through the rear of the trim piece into the rear panel misses its thread clip by about 3/8" inch to the rear.
Yes, Mike is the guy. We talked a little about your set up as well. Not too many shops that get two blue interior Mavs to work on in a week or two. He should know mine is on the way. According to USPS it should be there on Friday.
I That is quite the coincidence. I repainted my interior components with matching vinyl paint while everything was out, its a very close match but of course not exact so they should be able to distinguish them and not get us mixed up. Thanks for the help, Mike and I were both unsure why this error would have happened, my old belts were riveted together and may have been if anything a bit short but they came back way too long. There was one other minor problem, they stitched the webbing on the buckle inside out so when the belt was attached the flap and tag were facing outward. Since he is going to shorten mine from the buckle end anyway this will be corrected as well. So hopefully they will be sensitive to this detail when yours are sewn. I was trying to determine if there is any difference between the 74 and 75 seat belt setups, I don't think there is.
Glad to hear it. Mine look good too, they corrected the lengths and fixed the reversed stitching. There is one slight problem you might want to check yours as its easy to overlook. They routed the belt incorrectly on the passenger side. It is supposed to come up from the rear retractor then loop through the upper harness from the outboard side toward center then down to the front retractor. The drivers side is correct. I am going to send it back after I get the car into storage for winter to have it fixed.
I just checked and both of mine are correct. They did a little extra work on one of the retractors too that had some rust and wasn't working as well. All four work good now.
