I am wanting to order a set of torque thrust wheels for my 73, but having trouble understanding what offset / back spacing I should buy. Looking at 15x6 -6 offset 3.26 backspacing or 15x4 with -25 offset with 1.52 backspacing for front and 15x8 with 0 offset and 4.5 backspacing. I think I want the big /little look, but when looking at the front wheel specs it appears there is a lot of difference in offset vs backspacing

The offset of all three should be ok. The 4.5 in the rear could be close to the spring depending on the size of tire your running. If it is a street car I’d go with 6 wide up front.

I learned about "off set" when I bought my last rims. they had a 1" off set more than the rims I was replacing. dew to this I had to install 1" longer studs in the rear. the back spacing was the same just the hub was 1" thicker.

Check out Wheels and Tires in the Garage section of this site. A number of the owners have posted wheel and tire sizes with back spacing. You can even see pictures of the cars with wheels and tires installed. From my experience 4 1/2" back spacing is the maximum on our cars with an 8" wide wheel.
