Anyone do a serpentine conversion? My parts came from a 70's-ish LTD. Wanna setup without AC. I have like a monster looking bracket that holds the alternater and bolts to front of water pump and left head... Any pictures would be so cool...

I have a setup off a 94 Bronco, it bolts to the heads with two bulky aluminum brackets. If you want something nice looking and compact you will need to look at the aftermarket like March. Probably the best OEM setup would be from a fox body Mustang.

    Here is the Bronco setup.

Try a late 80's full size car. The power steering pump and alternator are mounted together on the driver's side and used a standard rotation water pump. Neat, clean simple setup.

Except for '86-'91 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis & '86-'90 Town Car, AFAIK all 5.0 serpentine belt setups will require a reverse rotation water pump. The ones I mentioned use a two belt serpentine with a std rotation pump. I can't remember the exact arrangement but I'm 99% belts tighten conventionally and the one belt can be eliminated.

The setup for Sploder is just plain wierd, entirely different than up to '93 5.0 Mustang and the full size models. The '91-'93 T-Bird & '94-'95 Mustang is possibly similar to splorer

That's the one I mentioned. You can get rid of the A/C which was mounted on the passenger side along with the smog pump. I used this setup for my 89 V8 Ranger swap.

The 94-95 Stang setup used the same timing cover used later on the Explorer/Mountaineer FEAD but the water pumps were different. The mid 88+ up Vic/Marquis/Towncar setup used an aluminum waterpump. This is the pump I used on my Comet.

When I built my 84Cougar with an 88 HO engine, I used a March pulley set for that HO. The stock OEM pulleys that I removed are what you see on the Comet.

You can get those pulleys from the Vic/Marquis/Towncar setup too.

CFV racing has decent prices if you want a little more bling.

The plan is to use the stock steel pullies blasted and painted. The small mounting brackets are what I'm liking on QuickSilver's car. Mine is like a huge aluminum thing, really ugly...

That small alt mounting bracket is what was used on '70s 302, I have same on my '72 Comet with std belts.

Those are for '65/'69(passenger side WP inlet) and are so flimsy I'd never waste my money.
