Here is the egr in the intake. I tried to mount the no EGR spacer upside down, but it didnt line up. Screw it, im gonna put the solid thick gasket with out a EGR hole on the bottom > the spacer > then thing gasket. Thanks everyone for the inputs.
I gotta move on and learn about cable shifters.

I think I have an extra 2v spacer with the hole for the PCV. $20 and it’s yours. Just let me check tomorrow and see if I can locate it. Matt

What condition is your carburetor? That intake manifold looks pretty sad. Are you on an extreme budget, if not I would be considering a new 4V intake and vacuum secondary carburetor with electric choke.

Here’s a pic. This is off of a 289 2v but should work fine. Also have an extra carb to spacer gasket you can have. I won’t be able to ship it until this coming weekend as I’m headed out of town for the week. You use your thick gasket under this and then the thin one on top. You’ll have to clean it up. The pcv outlet is open on the back. - Matt

What does the exhaust port look like under the tape, is there a single round hole down inside? I had a Pontiac that had heat passages and found the closest sized freeze plag and drove it in after cleaning the port of carbon. Worked well until I was able to buy and aluminum intake.

Thanks. Thats not gonna work. It would put the EGR port right into the PCV. Thanks for the kind offer though and have a save trip back.

That is the PCV port. There’s no EGR hookup. I thought you were trying to eliminate the EGR. This was how the 65-68 289/302 did the PCV. - Matt

I am, but the channels in the back would allow the EGR hole in my manifold to exit via the PCV. If you look at post #182 you will see how the EGR hole in the block will be sucked up by the PCV. I would need one that was solid on the back (like mine) but had a PCV port(like yours). Im beginning to think thats not an animal that exist.

The thick gasket that goes between the spacer and the intake will seal that hole in the intake off. The PCV is then open just to the carb body. PCV function only. - Matt.
