    Im cosidering making a bunch of V-8 engine side pivot balls, these are very hard to find and are not currently reproduced that im aware of. Problem is I dont have one for reference. If somebody has one they can send me or can dimension one accurately I would appreciate it, I was thinking of a run of 50 to start with. What do you guys out there think?

    You are correct, they are not reproduced. I have been trying to locate an alternative and I may have, providing thread size is the same and ball diameter is appropriate.... more investigating needed.

    I found mine.

    Can I measure something on them for you?
    Or, one of them has a pretty deep gouge on one side (bottom one in photo). Would be OK get dimensions off of not much use for anything else.

    I could send that one to you for whatever postage is to Canada.

    Maybe this will help. I measured my NOS one that I've since sold for Rusty about 4 years ago.

    If you made them out of a piece of hexagonal steel stock then you would only have to mill/turn down the ball and shaft and thread. No worries about the "nut" portion. - Matt

    I knew I had measured the one I had but couldn't remember. I looked back through my conversations on the server here and there they were. It shouldn't be too hard to reproduce if you have the metal turning skills. Maybe it's time for me to buy a hobby lathe! Those were the best measurements I could do with my Harbor Freight Digital Caliper Special!

    I imagine you could sell a few of these. Since the z-bars are reproduced and this side has never been reproduced.
