I have the clear lens w/amber bulb in my... grille turn signals.
I have the ones under the bumper that you speak of with clear lens and white bulbs. I use them for fog lights. they are wired to the headlights, they come on with the low beam and off w/high beam.

Are you using the 1157 bulb or did you swap the socket for something different?

1157 style LED bulb...the high side on with the low beam and low side on with the high beam.

To clarify a couple things said here .... it looks to me that the 1971-1972 Mustang assemblies may be the closest to working. I suspect they use the same lens, but the steel bracket that attaches to the bumper looks like it is missing D1ZZ13200A and D1ZZ132o1A part numbers. Doing it custom, might be just fine. Might need to research how this was attached, maybe radiator support? If so, might work great.

CJ Pony Parts page ... https://www.cjponyparts.com/parking-light-assembly-1971-1972/p/PL5-V/#reviews

I have had the same idea myself and rounded up some of the Maverick parts. Haven't looked at them in a bit, but I know some of them are really rusty.

1970 was mentioned, and that whole lamp looks smaller to me. Again, in a custom touch, they may work fine. This one comes with the bumper bracket like Mav.
