Just bought a 1970 Maverick and I think it has the original tires. They have a Ford stamp as well as some numbers. Can anyone help identifying the number?

Looks like the tires have a tube in them? Trash them.

I was thinking they didn't have 5 lug in 70.

    Correct - no 1970 had 5 lug
They look like US Indy - if they are that name is cast into the inside of the wheel

Where do you see the Ford Stamp? I don't see it in the picture. Actually above the numbers it looks on my screen like GN

    You was thinking correctly.

The v8 option with five lug wheels debuted in '71.

The wheels was popular back in the 70's and 80's. We called them slotted mags.

Like the mod said they do look like US Indy.

Those are factory aluminum mags first available in 73, in 74 the center hole became slightly larger to accommodate disk brakes. They usually go for around $300-$400 for a nice set. You can tell they are factory mags because of the recessed circular black painted line, only ford factory mags had that. They are the same style that was offered on the mustang. Mustang caps are currently reproduced while maverick ones are not.

They are actually 73+ factory mags. Very similar to Indy mags but the factory mags have the recessed painted circular line.
