Been a while since I have ran the Fiat any. Blew the rear back in July and have only started it a few times since. Haven't had much time to mess with it. Decided to run it a little this morning and take a video of it:

Damn thing is running terrible. Water keeps getting in the gas. Been a recurring problem since I bought the car, have no idea where it's getting in at. Need to put a fuel cell in it. No one's ever been able to really get this engine to run quite right. I've had the thing running faster then hell back in June, but something just isn't right with it.

Hopefully I'll have a new rear in it within the next few weeks and back on the road. New engine with a very healthy bump in horsepower, and 5 speed should be in the car in time for spring. :) Then they'll be some videos of it in action.

Where does the exhaust dump on that thing?
    Side exit?

I had one back in the late 70's and it was a blast to drive. Yours must be 10x as much fun.

    That things awesome yo.
Theres a guy here in town with a Triumph TR8 with a 302 in it. The air cleaner pokes through the hood and it has dual exhaust behind the rear wheels. Sounds mean. He also has a TR250 with an S10 V6 in it. I had a TR6 that ended up with a Fiero GT V6.

Love the tiny car/big engine combos.

I bet that car makes you giggle everytime you rev it up.

I like this kind of stuff. Small import roadster with american muscle is the way to go with these cars. Specially if they're Ford powered.

The AC Cobra and Sunbeam Tiger come to my mind.

Yea, it's definitely hard to keep a smile off your face. It's great sitting at a red light and give it a few good rev's and everyone at the intersection starts looking around. :) Plus the whole car rocks and shakes, which I tried to catch on the video, but you can't see very well how much it moves around.

The Ford power is really the only way to go in a car like this from both a weight stand point and just how the engine is layed out. I do not believe the car would drive and handle as well as it does with a SBC in it.

Seth, the exhaust dumps right in front of the rear wheels. on either side of the car. The exhaust consists of modified Hooker headers and glass packs.

This is a poor man's Cobra. :D People often mistake it as a Sunbeam Tiger or Triumph TR8.

    Love it Jamie!

Always wanted to do a V-8 in a TR-6 or MG

There was a guy I met in Cali a few summers ago, had one of those professionally converted 5.0 Miata's. Rode and drove like it came from the factory that way, and it was a blast when you opened it up.

Jamie, I have been very envious since the day you posted getting the Fiat. I would love to have a car like that.

I miss my Tiger every time I see something like this.

I want to build something like your Fiat.
Maybe a Monster Miata, MG midget, V8 sandrail

One of my friend's dad is selling a '71 MG Midget for $400... it has a little rust in the floor pans, but other then that it's solid. Has no interior or convertible top, and has the stock engine in it that hasn't ran in a number of years. Been sitting in their basement for years. It would make a great V8 project.

Jamie, where is the one for sale? My grandfather has a couple of these and he's always on the lookout for more. Eventually they will all make one car....Thanks, Preston
