I'll have to agree. All the ones within 40 miles of me [4 of them], never have anything I'm looking for. I tried a Toys R Us a few weeks ago, and a Walgreens last night, same results, nada. A couple of weeks ago, I went looking for a couple of 1/25 plastic kits for my two nephews. i wanted to get them something classic American, as they both like those better than the import junk. We went to every Walmart, every Kmart, every Toys R Us, and even a place called KayBee Toys, and only found 6 kits---4 Nascar at one Walmart and 2 Ferrari's at another. Most of them didn't even have the first 1/25 kit at all. Finally found a 70 Mustang and a 56 Ford pickup at Hobby Lobby, the only place that even had a selection. What is the world coming to when you can't even find a model kit at a department store? When I was coming up, they even sold them at the grocery stores. Now they seem like they are impossible to find....

i know i posted this other places but walmart has actually stopped carrying models now. so whatevers on the shelf now is all there will ever be

i havent seen a model at a k-mart for months.

theres 3 hobby stores with in reasonable driving distance to me. they seem to have ok selection, the 3rd is very impressive but other then that it looks like im going to be doing all my model shopping online for now on.

kids dont play with models or legos or things like that anymore. it eiher needs to be bright and shiney or electronic and they might go for it.

modeling is all adults now a days

I found two 1:24 Stallions at one of our local Wal-Marts.....first I'd seen of any of the 1:24 Mavericks, though my son picked up the Fresh Cherries primer 74 Mav 1:24 model kit for me in Branson last month.

I was really suprised to find the Stallions,....our W-M's have only carried the small Mavs, and had no 1:24 FC's except for the endless Gremlins and Pintos. I'm no collector, but I bought up both the Stallions, 'cause I figure the way Wally-World carries and drops products faster than most people change socks, I probably won't see any again for awhile, if ever.

I have a 1st couison that is die hard chevy, but for some reason he named his son Maverick. Picked up two 1:24 white and orange 74 Grabber this week, since it's Christmas i think I'll put a Ford seed (1;24 white and orange Grabber) in a chevy home and watch it grow.

I have managed to get a white and orange grabber, the red grabber, 2 stallions, both silver and black, a white mav, yellow mav, and 2 primer
mavs. All at Walmart. Plus I was in OKC this morning and they had another white and orange Grabber but my wife wouldn't let me have it.

Has anyone seen the fresh cherries vegas? If they are made the same way as the mavericks the wheels off of them would look very nice on one of the maverick die cast.:yup:
