Welcome aboard Pintony. I too have seen several Pintos I thought were cool. You are in about the same situation as me...I have more Mavericks than I need too. Come across a Sprint Pinto, I'd like to add it to my coral to go with my Sprint Maverick.
Which car did you bring to the Knotts show? I took some pics of a few. I was there with my car(the Grabber Blue Maverick).
Hello Grabber71, I had my Purple Pinto there in 06 and 07. In 06 I drove it all the way to california. 07 I trailered and took my family. I thought Knottsberry was a winery Not an amusement park... Well when my Cindy saw the photos of the Roller Coasters I had to make it a family trip. Check out this great shot I ggot while driveing I am stopped at what I thought was Pinot road exit but discovered it was PintA road. The ROUCH truck that attended the Knotts show 06 was just passing us on the ramp, somewhere in the desert headed to Calif. And YES I am just stopped in the middle of the road TOO COOL!!!
Hello rayzorsharp, I have never found a Sprint Pinto worth owning. Rare indeed!!! BTW maverick1970 I live in Staunton Illinois whre Country Classic Rust Buckets is just off HWY 55 40 miles North of St louis From Pintony
I believe I saw your Pinto ay Carlisle. Looks like thats where the purple picture was taken. I like them.
Heh, at least the cable guy properly mis-named my car5 today as a "falcon" i was outside trying to torubleshoot a charging problem (different post) and had her started, sounds a bit evil, adn he asked "what size motor you got in that ol' falcon" i properly corrected, it's a maverick, factory 302... ^_-
Hello Mavaholic, Yes the Purple Pinto was in Carlisle in 2006 and the Green Pinto was there in 07. If you look, Carlisle is using my Green Pinto in there publication for 2008. Here is a net link to see the photo... http://carsatcarlisle.com/library/gallery.asp?currentpage=12&gallery=3 All-Ford Nationals 2007
Welcome Tony Glad you stopped in, great car. Even if you are a little late to flame on TL! He liked that sort of thing, so he got banned like they said. Cowboiup: Think about it... The Maverick is a Falcon. That is the car that it took over for with a new name. Then it became a Fairmont, Tempo, Contour, etc... Different names, same bloodline.
Hey Pintony, we met at Route 66 in 2005. Have not run into you since, glad to see you found us. Pintony is as great a guy as anyone can ever meet!!! Dan
