I have a 93 mercury tracer. When it gets down to about a half tank of gas it likes to die when I take a hard right turn. No problem on a left turn. Any ideas on what is wrong?? Thanks

Had that problem on a power steering car.
The rack was worn and binding on left turns.
It over-worked the pump and killed the engine on severe or quick lefts.
Guess that wouldn't matter about the fuel level though! ;)

I had a 280ZX that would die completely on a hard left turn... Turns out the battery wasn't held down and it would ground out when it rocked the positive terminal against the hood.

Some older GMs had a swtch on the rack that bumped the idle speed when turning at slow speeds. If they went bad they would lower the idle instead:rofl2:

It doesn't have any problem at all when the tank is full. I just filled up today and took the same turns and it didn't die.
