    Looks like they did a run of unassembled units in primer!
    I bought two 1974 Mavericks and two 1971 Comets this evening.

    The Maverick is a six cyl. I didn't open either of the comets to see, but I'd imagine it's the same.
    I like the fact that they are primered.
    You can paint them any color (or several colors as a lot of our cars are) or just leave them in prime for the beater look.
    I'm thinking of combining one with a 28th scale R/C I have to see how it turns out. The body is metal, just like the assembled fresh cherries are.
    And yes, those are clearance stickers from walmart that say $5.00

    I scored one black comet on clearance for $5 Walmart ,has there toys on sale every year after christmas.

    I finally found a primer Maverick, but it didn't come with any wheels or tires. Weird.

    Check WalMart and Walgreens...if that fails, you can usually find them on eBay.

    I've been checking all the Walmarts around me, for the primer kits. Unable to score any yet. I guess I have to take a road trip to Bellingham.....LOL

    i havent found one either,i've told everyone i know to look for them,

    My cousin just moved to savanna georgia i wont even bother telling him to look for them in that maverick mecca state:Dbecause i know there all gone.
