Bubba traded for this 82 F100 stepside sometime back. He was always the kind to start a project, but never finish it, so I have decided in his memory, I'm going to build this truck the way he wanted it. It will be flat black outside, polished wood bed, bucket seats inside with a homemade wooden console, a big stereo with amps and subs. It may take me the rest of my life to finish it, but it will be good therapy for me. I'm going to name it "Bubba"s Dream", in his memory. When I decide to get started on it,sometime this summer, I am going to ask anyone that wants to fulfill his dream to donate any parts or time or money toward the project to feel free to do so. I will chronicle the build here, so everybody can see it come together. I feel like it is a fitting thing to do in his memory.

Are body parts off a '78 F150 interchangeable? After I pull the engine out of mine, it'll need to be hauled somewhere?

No. But we could use that grille and front fenders on my grandpa's Bronco.

Jamie's right, I believe 80 thru 86 are all the same.
I am pretty good on body parts, I have got another door to put on, also a spare hood. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep the tpi on it or change it over to a aluminum intake and carb like he wanted to yet or not. Bubba was like me, he liked old school stuff better than modern high tech. As soon as I start doing stuff to it, I'll list what I'm needing, and maybe somebody out there might just have it or know where to find it.
