Hey guys, I haven't seen it in a Maverick yet but I was at a new Wal-Mart today and I saw two cases of MotorMax cars in 1:87 size. It had all of the cars we have been seeing such as the Gremlins, Vegas, and all the other oddball stuff. The little cars are really cool...very nice detail. I was excited when I saw all the different cars and just KNEW I was gonna find a Mav in the bunch. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Surely they will do a Mav too!
I talked to MotorMax recently about any other Maverick or Comet versions. They say they have nothing planned; no 1:87 scale versions, no radio controlled ones, nothing...
I have a Hot Wheels Mav in my posession, but it is in rough shape. Red line wheels and a bulged hood. The hood opens to reveal what looks to be a big block with down draft webbers on it. Sidepipes exhuast, and was a metalic red color, most of the paint is gone. Looks like it may of had some sort of rear spoiler or something on it. It is called the Mighty Maverick. 1969 model year. what do you think?
I think I got a few of them. Seriously, they are all over eBay and have been for years. Some of the mint condition ones bring in the hundreds of dollars. Don't guess I'll be getting any of those... Thanks Don.
Now thats a bummer. 1:87ths and Rc's are what i would be interested in! Are they stopping maverick/comet support? Sounds like it. I hope not. (where's the fingers crossed emoticon?)
I TO HAVE A MIGHTY MAVERICK,IT'S BLUE ,NO FIN,HOOD DOES NOT OPEN . I PICKED IT UP FOR $1 AT A GARAGE SALE, I WAS THRILLED NOW I HAVE NOT SEEN ONE SINCE . IN REGARDS TO THE 1:87 MOTORMAX CARS WELL THATS TO BAD, A REMOTE CONTROL MAVERICK WOULD BE AWESOME......TAKIT-EEEZZZ
