seems kinda odd! I guess they will find out who get the best milage as the cars begin to drop out! 1/2 tank will be iffy for 3.5 hours(unless I put along) Got my Confirmation today! Car # 17! Can't wait..will be fun.
If you feel you can't cruise...you can still come by and give us moral support(maybe carry a gas can and make some money)...but come down to the show on Monday for sure! It would be super to to put on a good display of Mavs& Comets for everyone to see!
Matt: I have e-mails from 3 others(so far..still early) that are planning to come..and I have 3 or 4 possibilities(77mav 6banger, JnkYdMod, Whisky, Dill Scallion). I really hope thes guys make it...would love to get together and talk!

you know how the story goes theres always one bolt you cant get off. when i turn the head it spins the nut inside the old mounting piece so im gonna have to use a torch to remove it but im cleaning it up under there and gonna sand down that rock guard and paint it with flat black till i can get back to mounting that bumper:)

    Hard to say, but...

-Cliff might abort due to high fuel prices.
-Haven't heard from Loki in ages.
-Scott seems to have gone AWOL.
-Ray won't even get out of bed unless he smells burning tire smoke.
-I'm a little dis concerned about the harsh rules, logistics and weather.

So, it kinda looks like you and Coop will have to represent for us.
    Do us proud!

High fuel prices don't scare me! I drove the car twice down to attend the Knotts show in L.A(aprox $800 for fuel each time)...so as long as this is cheaper I have no problem! If you can't or don't wish to make Sunday...I would be more than pleased to see you on Monday at the show! Can we still get together for a bite before either event?

    Noted on the fuel prices.

I could only make a Sunday. Work hours won't allow the Monday.

If my technical situation is worked out by then and the shakedown test doesn't reveal any significant issues...I might be able to pull it off.

Cliff has been paying over $4.00 a gallon in B.C. for quite sometime. It's actually cheaper for him to drive here in the U.S. Looking forward to seeing you Cliff. And anyone else you can get, to come on down....

Hey Guys, I looked at the Reg. Form. This would only work for me if I can get the time off work. It does'nt make sense otherwise. I will let you guys know soon. I do want to come. I am glad the Reg. is cheap. Twenty bucks is O.K. I do not think the gas is a big deal, but, I just heard on the news that oil is up to $108.0 a barrel. Yikes! I think that is a concern. Not neccessarily for the show, but for the hobby in general. The future is not looking to bright for the big blocks. :( I do not mean to be a downer, but that high oil price sucks. Cliff let me know how it goes with those emails.
 I need to ask my boss for a raise. Then maybe I can afford to drive.

Ryan...all you can do is your best! If you can make it..great..if not..no worries! It will be a fun stress free weekend(it better be or else:D) with good company. Think of it as a Vacation...with Mavericks & Comets...
