I just found and bought 4 green Mavericks from JL series "Those 70's Cars". I did not notice until after I got them home that one was different from the other three. Three of them have the standard issue Maverick full wheel cover hubcap look on the wheels and the fourth has chrome slots. Anybody else have one like that or is it common to see both??:hmmm:

Thanks for any and all info!

I think it was posted on here before that there are two different versions of the 70's car. Also I believe there are a couple of different colors. I haven't found any of them around here. What store did you find them in?:)

There is one that they are calling a white lightning that is a redish color.

usually that lableing on the JL's will bring a big price. the difference is that something on the car will be white (interior or bottom) or the tires will have raised white lettering spelling "White Lightning" on them. I have an avid hotwheels colector in my office so he watches out for them.:burnout:

    Don,

I had to drive half way across the country, so I figured I might as well stop at all the walmarts close to the interstate and found quite a few fresh cherries, mostly white and yellow ones, and a couple of the copper 71 comet 1/24's. Also found 2 blue grabber 1/64s and 2 red mavericks also 1/64's. The JL green ones I found 2 in one toys r us and one in another, and 1 in a walmart. I do not know which one I found the slotted wheels. I bought every non-white or yellow maverick I could find along with 2 FC 1/24 black and silver stallions. I still have one more TRU to check out today. They, TRU sell another brand by motormax called sweet cherries in a blue box, it was new to me, probably everybody else here knew about it though.

When I get back to Florida, I will be listing my doubles and triples since I do not intend to keep all I bought.
