Got my registration back today, #62

Gas prices are going to hurt a lot of events. Our car club sponsors a car show on May 17th and our pre registration numbers are down also notice at the dragstrip there are fewer racers but then its still early and weather hasnt been that great

Hi guys, I am still humming and hah-ing about coming. I know that it is bad not to make a decision, but it is tough. There is now another problem. My gas gage does not even work. It is O.K. to travel around here because I always just fill up,and only go on short outings. I do not know what to do. I know that it is just stuck or whatever. I will probably need to fix it ,if I plan to go.

Ryan! We need you! Most time it is the ground at the tank that is the problem. If it unit itself is stuck..it is pretty easy to pull it and find out why. There is a ton of service stations down in the US(hard to believe eh!)...if you don't get it fixed..we can fixer up at Coops. Maybe bring a small gas can with you....but I know you will have this fixed! Plus..its not that far..just a few hours drive.

Cool stuff:thumbs2:....just over a month to go! Coop...how many from your end coming(or might be coming)? I hope we get a good turnout...with gas prices going the way they are this may be one of our last chances to all get together and still have it semi-affordable! Price up here is $1.27per litre for reg($4.80 gall to you) and $1.40 per litre for premium($5.29 Gall to you)...unfortunatly I use the premium...I hope your prices are better than ours! Not sure I can make it to another event with this much of a drive(I'm sure I'm not alone on this one)....so we better make this a good one! We still need to decide where and when we will meet both days before the event...and if we are going to do something before or afterwards like just a informal meet...dinner...BBQ..group photo or whatever! Lets make this the best event we can!

Hi I'm new to this forum. I would be very interested in meeting other maverick and comet enthusiasts. I'm interested in the May 25 & 26 weekend Colby car show and would love to join up with anyone going down there. My Mav is in the middle of being worked on so I can't drive it but I would still love to check it out. :thumbs2:

Put a tool box in the trunk. Take a couple of extra parts (ie alternator, starter solenoid, coil, thermostat & gasket, points, etc) a couple quarts of oil, a quart of ATF "F", a gallon of coolant, a gallon of water, brake fluid, jumper cables. Maybe even a gallon can of fuel. Then head on over. I went to Lewiston, Idaho a couple of years ago. I didn't think my car would go the distance either. Took all the above mentioned items. I had one problem one hour before the cruise. The car wouldn't start. All it did was click & then nothing. Replaced the starter solenoid & I was on my way. Glad I had the part with me....Come on over! The more the merrier. We also have an MCCI Mini Meet, at the XXX Root Beer Drive-In, the last Sunday in July, on I-90 in Issaquah. Maybe the Maverick will be ready by then...I'll keep everyone posted on the July Mini Meet as I get the details from the Cascade Cougar Club, which holds the event. We have our own Maverick/Comet category for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place peoples choice awards....
